Hello May! Starting into a new month here’s to a few things fashion related I actually cheated with the past weeks while #fastingfashion together with bunch of other fair fashion activists.⁣

First, let’s talk innovative materials and upcycling.

As you may know we collect PR Samples here and there along the way to be able to show you what’s happening in the fair fashion world. Sustainable products that made their way into my wardrobe and became loyal companions over the past weeks? The upcycled bag pack from Swiss label FREITAG a brand we appreciate for it’s always improving and oh-so-timeless aesthetic and it’s effortless combination of look, practicability and value.

And, less visible but one of my current wardrobe foundations: the grey tee from funktionschnitt. When it comes to fair and sustainable wardrobe basics you should definitely know the Cologne based label that is constantly looking for innovative materials (wearing SEAQUAL here, a recycled fibre from ocean plastic, which I recently told you about).⁣

Second, lets talk renting your clothes!

I am currently trying the clothing rental Stay A While, a service newly brought to life by Kleiderei⁣ co-founder Thekla Wilkening. I’ve always been a big supporter of the idea of renting clothes, especially the ones you feel in need of just to freshen up your daily wardrobe for a little while or the ones you want to try first before buying.

Two of the pieces that I chose are these woolen coats from one of my favourite fair fashion labels LANIUS. Neither one of them I (truthfully) couldn have afforded buying this season. Why not rent things for a while, enjoy the time á deux, and then pass them on to a new joyful owner? Stay tuned for more stories on wardrobe renting…⁣
