Jan n June x Black Velvet Circus
– a completely local winter wardrobe
PR Samples included
It’s December again and the holidays are coming, you can’t deny it anymore. Even though we hardly have time to enjoy this current pre-Christmas days, sometimes we still manage to get together – in the twilight of the early evening – to feel a little festive. That’s what happened recently, once again at Anna’s neighbourhood, the most beautiful Grindelviertel. With the amount of current work-freelance-and-after-work-drinks-commute, despite everything, we are happy to find ourselves in clothes that keep us in balance, between corporate toughness and wintery glittering festivity.
Hamburg, support your locals!
In case you haven’t heard of the Hamburg born and raised Slow Fashion label Jan n June yet: The two founders, Anna and Jula, somehow managed it to combine eco-fair fashion with a completely vegan-friendly selection of materials. And since then have build up a quite diverse collection of fashionable yet affordable clothes. Chapeau again to the beautiful AW 17/18 collection which we completely could have taken home along with us!
You could spot the Hamburg based label BLACK VELVET CIRCUS during one of our last Pressday Tours, when we fell in love with the power-woman and working-blue onepiece. Now, we got lucky and found some of the designer’s treasures at a sample sale during our green blogger bazar. BLACK VELVET CIRCUS creates authentic individual designs in small editions with fair trade wages and high quality materials, to keep textile traditions alive. Based in Hamburg, Germany, the label dedicates itself to empower women through design, and is proving that fashion can be a positive force. We are looking forward what Tanja Glissman, the woman behind the label, will be up to next.
P.S.: If you are lucky and you are in Hamburg this December, you can find the wonderful current collection at our all time favourite concept store B-LAGE!
