Outfit of the Week No. 14&15
– Green Carpet Challenge
Hello from Munich, where we stopped by one night (on Annas way back from Vienna to Hamburg) to not only try shoot our very first real selfies together but also took on our very personal Green Carpet Challenge at the About You Awards. (And yes, we thought about abandoning the picture á deux because of branded-background reasons. But then we remembered that we decided to visit the event of the rather-fast fashion online shop born and raised in Hamburg because we wanted to get out of our little green bubble and talk fair fashion with other people, for once. Please acknowledge the efforts we’ve made and don’t be too harsh on us. Oh, and read a little more about our experience in Munich in our latest Behind the Zine.)
This is what we dressed up in rather comfortably, but feeling pretty good in anyways: A night blue silk dress made of peace silk from the Berlin-based soon-to-be label skarabis Anna is currently working at. The ueber-fun Jan n June two piece from their current spring/summer 2018 collection. And at least one pair of fair fashion evening shoes: the hessnatur mules from last season. Their quality proved absolutely wonderful (Anna can now tell, after 10 hours of working this crazy evening event!) and we once again can only underline how quality should be the first and foremost criteria when talking Slow Fashion. Do you agree?
P.S.: 100 points regarding quality go to this trench coat which Anna bought probably seven years ago, when not advocating Fair Fashion but starting to look for affordable yet well designed garments. Because you asked us on Instagram, we’ve been looking all over the web for fair many beautiful fashion alternatives. But – where are they? Do you have any beautiful trench coats in mind?
