May we introduce?
Our City of the Month!
Lovers, Readers and Consumers. As one of our favorite passe-temps is actually strolling through well-known as well as still-foreign city streets hunting for vintage treasures and discovering concept stores we want to take you along. And, after a first stop in our hometown Hamburg, we now finally made it to rite a little review on our recent Berlin dwellings. Say hello to the capitals Slow and Fair Fashion Scene, including Fashion Week, Pressdays, Concept Stores and many little labels around. Nice to finally have you here, BERLIN!
Fair Fashion City Guide
P.S.: For this September’s #ShopLocalDay we also created a little Slow Fashion Tour through Berlin together with Findeling Berlin! You can find the Tour at the Findling App and and follow us around Berlin now.
The good news included? loveco (featured in our City Guide above) has recently opened a new store! Find it here:
Eisenacher Straße 36/37
Mo–Fr 12:00 – 20:00
Sat 11:00 – 19:00
Also, we finally featured another one of our favorite eco fashion concept stores, Homage Berlin. Find it under this address:
Tue–Fr 11:00 – 19:00
Sat 11:00 – 18:00
Natascha von Hirschhausen
To take it a step further in Berlin we really wanted to introduce you to a label from the capital we grew to love and appreciate during the past months. Find impressions from Natascha von Hirschhausen’s studio, where high quality garments are not only designed but also produced. And when we say high quality we are talking silk, fine hand woven cotton and beautiful shades of indigo. Find the whole (white winterish, but oh well…) story here.
Last spring we teamed up with loveco to shoot this mini-lookbook in Hamburg – and we thought: why not show them again? So here’s another one from the archives! And the good thing in Slow Fashion: you will find – maybe not the exactly the same – but quite similar pieces from Spring ’18 and Fall ’18 in store again. Find the whole editorial shooting here.
Berlin Press Days
Berlin is the place to be when the Press Days are on – and since more and more green agencies have been joining a few seasons ago, it’s now a beautiful adventure through the fair fashion collections to come. Find impressions from the past PR Days showing the current Spring/Summer 2018 collections here. And if you are ready to dwell in Winter collections: Find our latest Press Days findings in cooperation with FashionFika here! By the Way: This Week it’s time again… who will be around, when KERN Kommunikation and other agencies are showing the recent Fair Fashion collections?
BERLIN FASHION WEEK
This years fashion seasons during Berlin Fashion Week we spent most of our time at the Green Showroom and the Ethical Fashion Show (now called NEONYT Berlin), where you could find us in January working at the Fashion Changers #prePeek event. (Find our selection of eco-fair fashion favorites from the AW18/19 collections here.)
In July, we hit the road and demonstrated for a fairer fashion industry – and went looking for fair fashion labels to come and their Springs/Summer 2019 treasures at NEONYT Berlin, of course. Find all our impressions from Berlin here.
Stand up against the Black Friday madness! MAKE SMTHNG Week was – and still is – a Greenpeace founded international festival that is all about #buyingnothing #makingsomething instead and taking action for a better world. A festival of making, challenging our consumerist culture that has cut quality time spent with family and friends and replaced skills and resourcefulness with shopping. Read what greenpeace Berlin and a bunch of creative people were up to this year here.
